Turkish-Greek Population Exchange Panel

The Edremit Municipality and Edremit City Council, with the support of our Centre, will organise a panel discussion entitled ‘The Historical Context of the Exchange, the Cultural Assets Brought Over and the Architectural Heritage Left Behind’ on 13 February 2025 at the Şükrü Tunar Cultural Centre in Edremit, marking the 102nd anniversary of the Turkish-Greek Population Exchange.

Moderated by our centre director Prof. Dr. Aşkın Koyuncu, the panel will feature Prof. Dr. Özkul Çobanoğlu (Hacettepe University), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nilüfer Erdem (Istanbul University), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Neval Konuk Halaçoğlu (Marmara University) and researcher Kemal Girgin as speakers.
