Associate Professor. Ramazan Erhan Güllü gave a conference titled "The Transition Process from Empire to Nation State and the Proclamation of the Republic".
Balkans and Aegean Application and Research Center, in collaboration with the Department of History of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and the Atatürk Principles and Revolution History Research and Application Center, jointly organized the conference titled 'The Transition Process from Empire to Nation-State and the Proclamation of the Republic' as part of the 100th-anniversary events of the proclamation of our Republic. The conference took place on Friday, October 27, 2023, at 15:00 at the Troia Cultural Center. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ramazan Erhan Güllü, a faculty member in the Department of History at Istanbul University, made significant remarks in his speech regarding the dissolution process of the Ottoman Empire, the period from the First World War to the Treaty of Lausanne, the proclamation of the Republic, and the establishment of the nation-state. Dr. Hasan Demirhan, the Head of the Department of History at Namık Kemal University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, also attended the conference as a listener.
