A panel titled "Balkans and Turkey in the 100th Year of the Republic" was organised by Namık Kemal University Balkan Studies Application and Research Centre with the initiative of the Union of Thracian Universities on 14 December 2023, 14.00, Namık Kemal University, Rectorate Conference Hall.
Our Center Director, Prof. Dr. Aşkın KOYUNCU, participated as an invited speaker in the panel titled "Balkans and Turkey on the Centenary of the Republic," organized by Namık Kemal University Balkan Studies Application and Research Center within the scope of the Thrace Universities Union on December 14, 2023, at 14:00 in the Rectorate Conference Hall of Namık Kemal University.
The panel, moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sezai ÖZTAŞ, a faculty member of the History Department at Namık Kemal University's Faculty of Arts and Sciences and the Director of the Balkan Studies Application and Research Center (BALKAM), featured speeches by Prof. Dr. Aşkın KOYUNCU from Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University on "The Ottoman Legacy in the Formation of Modern Balkans," Prof. Dr. Sezai Enis TULÇA from Galatasaray University on "Atatürk Era Balkan Policy," and Prof. Dr. Nurcan ÖZGÜR BAKLACIOĞLU from Istanbul University on "Continuity and Change in Turkey's Balkan Diplomacy."
